Outreach medical teams’ activities under way

July 3, 2026

Medical workers are conducting intense outreach medical teams’ activities in the DPRK.

They not only give treatment to outpatients but also visit workplaces and residential quarters to conduct hygienic information activities while providing medical care.

In particular, those of central-level hospitals are offering medical services at the major units of socialist construction.

According to information available, those of such hospitals as the Pyongyang University of Medical Sciences Hospital and Kim Man Yu Hospital conducted medical examinations and hygienic information activities and gave treatment at the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex, Tokchon Area Coal-mining Complex, Kaechon Area Coal-mining Complex, Sangwon Cement Complex and others, actively promoting the health of many workers there and their families, from last January.

Not a few workers express their gratitude, saying that thanks to the kind service of the members of the outreach medical teams, they received the timely diagnosis of diseases they themselves had not known, and underwent treatment.

Medical workers of such hospitals are also channelling efforts into broadening the horizons of their regional counterparts and improving their skills.

They give lectures on the latest medical science and technology and transfer advanced treatment methods at regional hospitals in an effort to improve the abilities of local medical workers.

Curative and preventive institutions at all levels, too, are actively conducting outreach medical team activities.

The medical workers of the Songyo District Hospital’s dental branch with high dental techniques gave dental treatment to coal miners and their families at the February 8 Jiktong Youth Coal Mine of the Sunchon Area Youth Coal-mining Complex.
