Chinese FM: Japan is to blame for worsening bilateral relations
July 6, 2026A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that Japan is wholly to blame for the deadlock facing the present China-Japan relations at a press conference on July 1.
The Chinese government had already stressed on several occasions that the fundamental cause of deteriorating the bilateral relations was the wrong words and deeds made by the Japanese ruling authorities in succession in the Chinese Taiwan- and military security-related issues, he noted.
He added that the Japanese rulers should respect the core interests of China, stop poking their noses into the internal affairs of his country, reflect on its wrongs and correct them and take practical actions to promote the bilateral relations to be back on the right track.
