DPRK party and government delegation leaves Pyongyang to pay official visit to China

At the invitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the government of the People’s Republic of China, a party and government delegation of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea led by Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, vice-president of the DPRK State Affairs Commission and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, left Pyongyang by the private plane on July 10 to pay an official visit to the PRC and take part in the event marking the 65th anniversary of the conclusion of the DPRK-China Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance.

The premier was accompanied by Kim Song Nam, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the WPK Central Committee, Mun Song Hyok, deputy department director of the WPK Central Committee, Kim Myong Su, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Ryu Un Hae, vice-minister of External Economic Relations, and other entourage members.

The delegation was seen off at Pyongyang International Airport by An Hyon Min, deputy department director of the WPK Central Committee, Kim Son Gyong, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and staff members of the Chinese embassy in Pyongyang.
