Pyongyang Middle School for Orphans is provided with advanced educational conditions and environment.

Three years ago the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who pays close attention to steady innovation and development of the educational sector, sent many apparatuses needed for informatization of teaching at the school.

According to Jong Hyon Chol, deputy principal of the school, the school, with those apparatuses, realized a Wi-Fi-based informatization system and developed a support and management system involving teaching and extracurricular study guidance, self-study of students, management of educational resources and environment and other activities.

Later, the school added to the system an AI technology-based intelligence evaluation support system to apply a scientific educational method according to the detailed analysis and evaluation of the students’ aptitudes and temperament, thus further improving the scientific level of education.

It makes educational evaluation index management on a scientific basis by using AI technology, and conducts the evaluation of teachers by gathering the students’ evaluation of the teachers’ abilities, teaching penetrance, lesson results and educational discipline so as to take relevant measures.

Amid the soaring zeal for improving their qualifications to raise the level of teaching, over ten teachers have won academic degrees and dozens of others the title of October 8 Model Teacher.

The students read reference materials anytime and anywhere through the study service system using the network, and widen their knowledge with the help of the teachers.

Thanks to the introduction of an intelligent question-and-answer and teaching inspecting systems, the quality of teaching has been raised, and the students’ academic performance further improved.

Recently, the school has made progress in its informatization by updating the extracurricular hobby group operation support system.

The school was honoured with a model unit of informatization in 2022 and 2025.
