Youth and students in Jagang Province held a meeting with war veterans on July 16 on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

At the meeting, the war veterans said that the miraculous victory won by the DPRK in the Fatherland Liberation War is the victory of the outstanding military ideas, Juche-oriented war methods and superb strategy and tactics of President Kim Il Sung and the brilliant fruition of patriotism and staunch spirit of defending the country displayed by the army and people rallied close around the leader.

They told about the feats they performed in the days of defeating the aggressors in fierce battles with the love for their benevolent social system, hometowns, workplaces and parents and siblings and the hatred for the enemies trying to deprive them of all.

They called upon the younger generation to glorify their youth on the road of defending the country, deeply mindful of the truth of history that only when they fight with great force can they defend the sovereignty of the country and the happiness of the people.

Young speakers expressed their resolve to devote their all to the sacred defence of the country like the war veterans’ generation and perform miracles and feats with youthful vigour and mass heroism in every field for implementing the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The war veterans handed over the national flag of the DPRK, calling upon all the youth and students to uphold the ideology and leadership of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un with single-minded loyalty.
