Streets of Pyongyang have been decorated with flowers.

People are quite pleased to see cineraria, petunia, Viola tricolor and other beautiful flowers in full bloom on streets and in different places of the city.

Such scenes are associated with efforts of employees of floricultural stations of all districts.

With the pride in beautifying the capital city and with attachment to their jobs, they are devoting their sincerity to the cultivation of flowers.

Those of the Mangyongdae District Floricultural Station, who presented distinctive decorations depicting natural landscape at the Flower Festival-2026 held in April to give pleasure to people, have grown different species of young flowering plants and are transplanting them in flower beds and flowerpot stands according to their blooming periods.

Similar stations in Central District and Sosong District selected young flowering plants of species with long blooming period and high ornamental value and have managed their nutrition scientifically and technologically.

The Pothonggang District Floricultural Station is tending young flowering plants well by putting in efforts to ensure their growth conditions and intensifying the monitoring of harmful insects while conspicuously decorating different places of the district.

The employees of the Moranbong District Floricultural Station have decorated flower beds and flowerpot stands around the Arch of Triumph and other places with different flowers and tended them with great care, thus changing the appearance of the relevant street for the better day after day.

Thanks to the efforts of the working people of such stations who have chosen right places for the cultivation of flowers according to temperature conditions and are applying nutrient solution and fertilizer properly, the capital city is turning into a city in a park with all sorts of flowers in full bloom.
