By relying on domestic raw materials and technology

July 22, 2026

Among the units selected as the top ten enterprises for 2025 is the Anju Insulator Factory.

The factory is improving the productivity and grade of insulators and increasing their indexes while overfulfilling its national economic plan every year.

In the past, it could not evade one-sidedness in production as most of raw materials needed for the production of insulator had to be imported.

Thanks to research and efforts of its officials and employees, the factory took technical measures to use raw materials abundant in the country for normalizing insulator production and fully ensuring their quality, and established a new production line.

Later, the factory modernized equipment and put their operation on a more scientific basis to successfully produce high-grade insulators.

And it set a higher goal to increase the indexes of insulators and established a new production process based on a far infrared radiating material, and developed various insulating paints including anticorrosive and waterproof agents.

Recently, the factory set up another process for turning out laminated insulating base and insulating tape needed for different kinds of electric equipment by using raw materials plentiful in the country.

It works to build up its technical forces in order to boost production and ensure their quality on a high level.

Many workers prepare themselves to be intelligent workers under the study-while-you-work system and all employees present inventions and new ideas that can contribute to the production of goods and improvement of their quality.

Amid the brisk mass technical innovation movement, many technical innovation plans were presented including a method of using locally available raw materials to synthesize catalysts and were highly appreciated at the national sci-tech festivals.

“We’ll make redoubled efforts to develop high quality products, unique ones, by relying on our own raw materials,” said Chief Engineer Ho Song Sik.
