July 15 Honour Student Prize
July 23, 2026In the DPRK, schoolchildren regard it as an honour and pride to win the July 15 Honour Student Prize.
The honour prize is awarded to students of graduating classes of middle schools who got full marks throughout the school courses.

After the prize was instituted in 1987, students of Pyongyang Middle School No. 1 kindled the first torch for winning the prize and appealed to students of middle schools across the country to turn out in the movement.
Since then, the movement for winning the prize has been waged dynamically among students.
The movement, which calls for students to be knowledgeable, morally sound and physically strong in an all-round way and to highly display the collective traits in study, is demonstrating its great vitality.
Many students across the country, including those of Pyongyang Middle School No. 1, have won the July 15 Honour Student Prize and they are all displaying the collective traits in study while helping and leading each other.
