Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva recently repudiated the US for unfairly levying a tariff against his country.

As to the US’ decision on imposing a 25% tariff on specified imports from Brazil, he said that the US can never justify its measure by any means.

Meanwhile, the Brazilian government issued a statement to denounce the US’ unilateral act and announce that it would take countermeasures including the immediate launch into the procedure for bringing the case to the World Trade Organization.
