The Kangson Vinyl Sheet Factory in Chollima District of Nampho Municipality is a small unit. But it produces a large quantity of products including plastic pipes of different sizes, vinyl hoses, raincoats and tents every year, making a great contribution to the economic development of the country and the improvement of the people's living standards.

In the past, it was producing vinyl sheets for farming by using plastic waste. However, the vinyl sheets were in high demand in the agricultural sector only at a certain season.

So the factory newly set up a process for producing vinyl chloride resin products and drastically increased the variety of products including raincoats, life jackets and toys for children to keep constant link between production and consumption.

It has steadily raised the level of recycling.

While paying further attention to the improvement of the quality of products as well as the quantitative growth of production, the factory directs efforts into research to produce vinyl sheets and products of different uses from plastic waste.

Its employees have taken an active part in the research into and introduction of new technologies.

The vigorous mass technical innovation movement in the factory has produced tens of technical innovations and inventions, such as the blast-type plastic waste recycling machine and the PVC compound raw material moulding machine, which led to high production results and high quality of products.

The products made by the factory were highly appreciated at various exhibitions and shows including the national exhibition of building materials in each province-2023, the national exhibition of sci-tech successes in the field of furniture and finishing building materials-2024, the national exhibition of August 3 consumer goods-2024, the children’s goods exhibition at the Pyongyang Children’s Department Store and the light industrial goods exhibition “Development of Light Industry-2025”.

The factory, which has steadily developed new technologies and pushed ahead with recycling, was selected as one of the top ten enterprises for 2025.
