Russian President Vladimir Putin met with deputies to the State Duma, who were to finish their terms of office, on July 27.

At the meeting, he said that recent years have constituted one of the decisive stages directly linked with the destinies of the people in the history of Russia and that the Russian people have always coped with the challenging pressure from outside and historic trials by dint of unity.

Russia has continued to defend its security and sovereignty and justice and is capable of making a decisive counterattack to any hostile actions, he stressed.

Noting that the enemies of Russia have resorted to undisguised terrorist actions against the Russian people since they became unable to win in the battlefields, he stated that the whole of Russia, that is, the government, people and society would surely achieve the goals set forth in the special military operations and do everything for the victory.
