The 2026 National Exhibition of August 3 Consumer Goods opened with due ceremony at the Pyongyang Underground Shop on August 4.

Presented to the exhibition on the theme of "Improving the quality of consumer goods and diversifying them" are hundreds of thousands of products of over 4 000 kinds produced at more than 400 units across the country.

The Pothonggang and Hwasong district housewives’ workteam management stations and other units in Pyongyang presented products developed in the course of creative struggle to diversify the consumer goods and improve their quality.

The Tokchon and Kanggye city consumer goods cooperative production stations exhibited such new products as foldaway umbrellas and armchairs made with locally available raw materials.

During the exhibition there will be a presentation of experience by exemplary units in the production of consumer goods.

Present at the opening ceremony were officials concerned and officials and working people of the participating units.

Kim Chol Bom, minister of Regional Industry, made an opening address.
