A national sci-tech presentation in the field of educational information and a seminar on building intelligent environment for supporting education took place from August 4 to 6 under the sponsorship of the Korean Society for Educational Informatics of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

The presentation and seminar held on the theme of "Modernization of the educational infrastructure" and "Improvement of practical education conditions of students" brought together teachers, researchers and postgraduate students of educational units including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Hamhung College of Construction, Kumsong Middle School No. 1 and Changdok School.

Presented at the presentation and seminar were practical proposals conducive to attaining the goals of education set forth at the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea. They also dealt with the issues arising in narrowing the gap in the educational level between towns and rural communities and developing foreign languages education and distance education by using information facilities and learning resources.

The participants who came up with solutions to the issues badly needed for radically improving the informatization of education and strengthening the material and technical foundations of the educational field were highly appreciated.

A lecture titled "On application of AI technology in education" was given as part of the events.
