Japanese sue authorities over fighter noise damage
August 9, 2026About 370 inhabitants in Miyazaki Prefecture of Japan recently brought a legal action to a local court as regards the fact that damage from noise has got more serious since F-35B stealth fighters were deployed in Nyutabaru Base of the Air "Self-Defense Force" in the prefecture.
They expressed their anger, saying that noisy fighter drills have been staged since eight F-35B stealth fighters were deployed in the base last year, causing serious damage to their health.
They demanded the authorities ban night flight of the fighters and make reparation for the damage from noise.
