The 2026 National Exhibition of August 3 Consumer Goods is going on at the Pyongyang Underground Shop.

The venue of the exhibition has been crowded with visitors every day as the products developed and produced by over 400 units across the country, true to the Workers’ Party of Korea’s policy on bringing about a turn in diversifying consumer goods in terms of kind and shape and improving their quality, are displayed in a distinctive way and service activities are being conducted actively.

Convenient and smart table calendar and beaded blind and other consumer goods produced by the Central District Housewives' Workteam Management Station by arousing the creative initiative of the producer masses attract the attention of visitors.

Popular with purchasers are various kinds of garments for children, ornamental flowers and bags made by consumer goods production units of Pothonggang and Tongdaewon districts by making effective use of idle materials.

Different kinds of quilts and plastic goods, produced by the Taean District Housewives’ Workteam Management Station and the Kangso District Consumer Goods Cooperative Production Station with locally available raw material resources, instil in visitors pride in things of their own.

Also attractive are distinctive consumer goods presented by the Wonsan City Consumer Goods Cooperative Production Station, a production unit under the Kosong County Direct Sales Shop and the Unpha County Housewives’ Workteam Management Station.

Through the exhibition showing remarkable qualitative change of August 3 consumer goods, achievements and experience are being shared and transferred between the exhibiting units and enthusiasm for developing and producing more goods favoured by the people is further growing.
