Maria Zakharova, a spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, censured the West for its adventurist moves on a Sputnik radio programme on August 5.

She said that an international terrorist alliance is being formed in the heart of Europe and the weapons handed over to Ukraine by Europeans are flowing out to different parts of the world.

New dangerous trends are emerging in Europe, she said, disclosing France’s proposal that the "nuclear umbrella" should be opened and West European countries should get under it shows that militarism combined with nuclear elements is coming to the fore in Europe.

Noting that the West is trying to pour hundreds of billions of dollars for destruction and extermination, she asserted that the money provided by the West European countries to the Ukrainian authorities under the pretext of aid would have been enough to build Ukraine into a modern country.
