Maria Zakharova, a spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, bitterly criticized the Japanese authorities for keeping mum about those responsible for the A-bomb attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 9.

Such subservient behaviour of the Japanese leadership also became a laughing stock of Americans, who are chiefly to blame for dropping A-bombs on the Japanese territory, she said.

The Japanese authorities are taking part in distorting their history of their own accord, with the result that Japanese are ridiculed by all, she stated ironically. 

The betrayers of history, memory and the people can never be respected by anyone, she said, adding that what they will get at last is only disgrace and contempt of their people.

The US’ thrice-cursed crime of A-bomb attacks in the last century claimed hundreds of thousands of innocent people’s lives in Hiroshima and Nagasaki of Japan and lots of people are still suffering from their aftermath.
