August 15, 2026

The general secretary of the Georgian ruling party asserted that the anti-Russian sanctions incurred a loss in his country in an interview on August 10.

As it enforces sanctions, Georgia has inflicted no damage on Russia, but caused a loss to itself and its people, those people who work diligently and do everything for the plentiful life of their families, he said.

The European Union is applying double standards, he noted, adding it forces other countries to sever economic ties with Russia.
