A poem-reciting meeting of schoolchildren took place at the Central Youth Hall in Pyongyang on August 13 on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of national liberation.

Present there were Paek Un Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, officials of the youth league and schoolchildren in Pyongyang.

The performers praised the feats of General Kim Il Sung, the guerrilla commander who won only victories in the battles against the huge forces of the Japanese imperialist army with his protean tactics and war methods in the grim anti-Japanese war.

Also put on the stage were revolutionary songs reflecting the indomitable spirit and mettle of the fighters who devoted their youth and lives without hesitation, waging the long bloody anti-Japanese war under his leadership.

Schoolchildren's resolve to prepare themselves to be true young revolutionaries and patriots and competent talents who are knowledgeable, morally sound and physically strong under the care of the motherly Workers' Party of Korea resounded through the venue.
