Nation celebrates anniversary of national liberation

All the people of the DPRK significantly marked the 81st anniversary of national liberation.

At the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il lie in state, people bowed to the portraits of the peerlessly great men.

Officials, working people, service personnel, youth and students laid flower baskets, bouquets and flowers at the statues of the great leaders on Mansu Hill in Pyongyang and in all other parts of the country and mosaics of the peerlessly great men.

Officials of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea and the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea visited the Korean Revolution Museum to grasp the immortal revolutionary feats performed by the President in accomplishing the great historic cause of national liberation.

An endless stream of visitors determined to bring earlier the comprehensive national rejuvenation in the revolutionary spirit of Paektu flowed to the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt Taesong, the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery in Hyesan and others.

Officials, working people, youth and students across the country made study tours of revolutionary battle sites and held meetings to hear impressions of the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas, oratorical meetings and other events.

The national flags were seen fluttering in streets and villages of Pyongyang and the provinces and at factories, farms and schools and art performances were given everywhere to rev up the festive mood.

Public catering establishments in Pyongyang and all other parts of the country were full of people receiving holiday service.

Leisure complexes resounded with happy laughter of the working people and schoolchildren enjoying the holiday.
