Brazil criticizes US for seeking domination
August 18, 2026A high-ranking official of Brazil censured the US for pursuing the hegemony-seeking policy on August 12.
The US Department of State released a video advocating domination over the American region while advertising the Monroe Doctrine as its fundamental principle in external affairs. As to this, the Brazilian official branded it as an obvious threat to the sovereignty of Brazil and other regional countries.
The current US administration is trying to subordinate the Latin American region to the US interests, he decried.
Brazil maintains the firm stand not to tolerate unilateral measures of foreign forces to infringe its national sovereignty, he stressed.
