The garment research institute of the Academy of Food and Consumer Goods under the Ministry of Regional Industry has made achievements in the research project to put the production of school uniforms on a scientific basis.

After completing the method of producing school uniforms based on the three-factor clothes size system, a new body measurement guide and the uniform processing guide according to school types and kinds of uniforms for the first time in the country, the institute directs efforts to updating the standards of school uniforms.

While theoretically and correctly analyzing latest information about standards, the researchers scientifically determined the growth characteristics and dimensions in different parts of the body of tens of thousands of students across the country and adopted a new clothes size system.

And they made an in-depth study and analysis of the data on body measurements of a large number of students to find a way to sort out various body shapes and worked out a size application method which can be employed by the production units.

The institute solved technical problems arising in raising the fitness rate in the design of clothes. It also offers technical training courses and holds passing-on-technique sessions for garment production units across the country.
