Hundreds of sci-tech achievements registered as inventions and patents

Scientists and researchers of scientific research and educational institutions across the country, including the State Academy of Sciences, Kim Chaek University of Technology and University of Sciences, have made many sci-tech achievements.

They include a spheroidal graphite cast iron material and its heat treatment method, metal fittings adjusting the deflection of power transmission line, illumination control system of cylindrical vegetable cultivation device, walking sprayer and non-contact 3D measurement system of the human body, which have been recognized as new and innovative ones badly needed in metal, chemical, machine-building and other key industry sectors and agricultural and light industry sectors.

In the realms of public health, sports and ecological environment protection there have been made technical achievements on diverse themes and of practical significance, including inventions conducive to promoting the people’s health and improving their material and cultural standards.

Other working people’s inventions also drew attention.

Among the inventions are valuable ones making an active contribution to the economy of the country and social development, including a rotary screen, gypsum-free cement production method and highly-efficient wet mill that raises the actual output by pulverizing ores with less energy, an invention by an aged man living in Mangyongdae District, Pyongyang.

Hundreds of valuable sci-tech achievements made by scientists, technicians and other working people have so far been registered as inventions and patents this year.
