It is the unanimous aspirations of Korean young people to unsparingly dedicate youthful sweat and enthusiasm for the prosperity of the country.

In the present new era of regional changes and development, young people in different parts of the country have volunteered to work at construction units in their areas.

Those in South Phyongan Province volunteered for youth shock brigades of coal mines by carrying forward the tradition of youth pioneers of previous generations.

Many young people across the country settled on farms and volunteered to work at forest management stations, water supply and sewerage management stations and livestock farming bases with the determination to dedicate themselves to society and the collective like meritorious persons of socialist patriotism.

Young people in Pyongyang including triplets Ri Chung Sim, Ri Hyo Sim and Ri Il Sim took the first steps of their social life at major units for socialist construction such as the Transmission Line Laying Station and the Pyongyang Thermal Power Station.

True to the idea of attaching importance to education of the Workers’ Party of Korea, many graduates of universities of education and teacher training colleges became teachers at branch schools on remote islands and schools in frontline areas and mountain villages.
