Dance parties of youth and students were held in Pyongyang on August 28, Youth Day.

The plaza of the Arch of Triumph and other venues in the capital city were filled with joy and excitement of youth and students greeting Youth Day.

Dance parties began amid the playing of the all-people hymn "Dear Father".

The participants danced to the tune of such songs as "We Will Devote Our Youth to the Country" out of the desire to perform feats of loyalty and patriotism.

The festive atmosphere was revved up as the young people's revolutionary enthusiasm to add eternal lustre to their socialist motherland erupted along with the playing of such songs as "The Desire".

Similar dance parties took place in provincial capitals, cities and counties on the same day.
