In accordance with the Workers’ Party of Korea’s policy on regional development which is going full steam ahead, the regional-industry factories newly built in 40 cities and counties are positively sharing technologies and experience.

Exchange of technologies and experience among the new regional-industry factories is conducted purposefully according to the detailed arrangements made by the Ministry of Regional Industry and the provinces.

Shortly ago, the ministry organized theoretical lectures and passing-on technique sessions related to the improvement of the quality of wheat paste and soy sauce for the officials and technicians of the foodstuff factories newly built in tens of cities and counties at the Jongphyong County Foodstuff Factory so as to help the relevant units introduce advanced technologies and experience into the production of condiments.

South Hamgyong Province has arranged a products show every month at the regional-industry factories newly built in Hamju, Kumya and Jongphyong counties and Sinpho City and made sure that the participants learn experience and lessons from the successes and deviations.

In particular, according to the measure of the province, experts of the provincial disease prevention and control centre, the provincial quality analysis institute and the Hamhung Branch of the State Academy of Sciences have analysed the quality of the products presented to the show so that all producers could direct efforts to improving their quality.

South Phyongan Province also holds a monthly provincial products show on a regular basis in order to encourage the new regional-industry factories in Songchon, Sukchon, Pukchang and Sinyang counties to briskly exchange experience with each other.

Most recently, the province ensured that a competent teacher of the school for skilled workers of the Phyongsong School Uniform Factory gave itinerant lectures at several county garment factories, thus enabling the producers to broaden their horizons and create new things in the designing, cutting and processing of garments.

Ryanggang Province has promoted exchange of technologies among the new regional-industry factories in Kim Hyong Jik and Kim Jong Suk counties over various issues, including the development of specialities, the improvement of the quality of condiments and the reduction of the production costs of daily necessities. 

Kusong City and Kujang, Unsan, Yomju and Taegwan counties in North Phyongan Province are also active in sharing and transferring advanced technologies.

North Hwanghae Province recently held a consumer goods exhibition during which technologies and experience were positively shared among the new regional-industry factories in Unpha, Yonthan, Koksan and Hwangju counties. The visitors were particularly impressed by the experience gained in developing new products by the Hwangju County Foodstuff Factory, which has produced various health foods by using locally abundant lotus roots.

This year, Unchon County arranged a visit to a county in South Hamgyong Province, where new regional-industry factories had been built, to exchange views on the issues arising in business management and activities. And it intensified the work to introduce good experience and advanced technologies of the relevant area and units in conformity with the actual situations of its area and units, thereby making great achievements in developing new products, expanding varieties and lowering costs.
