Van for delivery of school uniform runs for three new pupils

September 2, 2026

One day in March this year, a van for the delivery of school uniforms to be supplied to new primary school pupils left for a primary school in Mangyongdae District, Pyongyang.

The van was carrying merely three school uniforms.

A few days before, the school made the children, who would enter it, try on new uniforms to confirm that the clothes fitted them before the supply of them.

Then there arose an unexpected problem. It was not long after measuring children for uniforms, but three of them were found outgrowing their new uniforms.

Therefore, they were measured again on the spot and an urgent step was taken to make uniforms for the three children. A few days later, the van went to the school carrying the uniforms made to fit them.

Seeing the children being happy to wear their uniforms which just fitted them, their parents warmly held the hands of the people who had brought the uniforms and expressed their gratitude.

The Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea held in 2021 adopted it as an eternal state policy to provide students with uniforms and set forth the task of supplying all of them with quality uniforms and bags of new styles.

Accordingly, factories for the production of school uniforms were built across the country, a new guide to body measurement for providing students with school uniforms that fit them was drawn up and sent to all parts of the country, school uniform storehouses were built in cities and counties (districts) across the country and vans for the delivery of school uniforms and other essential goods for students provided.

Such impressive stories have continued to emerge thanks to the policies of the Party and government which spare nothing for children, the king of the country.
