A passing-on-technique meeting for raising livestock with non-grain feed was held at the Township Farm in Hwadae County on September 1.

Present there were Ri Chol Man, vice-premier of the Cabinet and chairman of the Agricultural Commission, and officials and technicians in the field of animal husbandry from Pyongyang and regions of the country.

The participants heard the experience gained by the farm in establishing the food production cycle based on crop farming and animal husbandry on a higher level.

They were interested in the data on successes made in increasing the fattening rate of livestock with fermented rice chaff and animal protein feed.

Then there was a demonstration showing how to produce and use the animal protein feed.

Looking round the livestock-farming and feed-processing base, the participants learned about the experience gained by the officials and farmers of the farm in resolving the feed problem through systematic increase of the non-grain feed rate and exchanged their views on technical problems.
