A park has been newly built on Songhwa Street.

The park with a boating ground and fish farm also has soft drink stands and various amusement equipment along the paths. 

Residents of the street say with pleasure that with the boating ground built on the street they have become able to enjoy themselves seeing videos on a large electronic screen or fishing on boats. 

According to Jang Un Gyong, chief of the park, the park is attracting many people.

Especially, the boating ground is frequented by many schoolchildren in their summer vacation and other children with their grandparents. 

The scenes of schoolchildren rowing hard and the elderly and their grandchildren enjoying themselves on board round sightseeing boats on the wide boating ground with a fountain sending a jet of water add to the unusual scenery of Songhwa Street with high-rise apartment houses standing in rows. 

When it gets dark, the park gets more splendid with illuminations.

Then the park is crowded with people out there to enjoy themselves after a day’s work. 

Some people take a stroll along the paths of the bright park, young men and women date and children are engrossed in boating with their parents. 

And other people refresh themselves relishing soft drinks at the soft drink stands of the park. 

Meanwhile, angling fans are engrossed in fishing, adding to the night scenery of the park.

According to Jang Un Gyong, the boating ground serves as an ice rink in winter.
