Many educators have made remarkable educational achievements.

Rim Hye Sim, teacher of Jungdok Primary School in Phyongsong City, has devoted herself to education for over 30 years.

She not only made a lot of teaching aids and experimental apparatuses to enhance students’ practical abilities but also trained many students to be honour students, thereby being selected as one of the top ten teachers for 2025.

Kim Un Suk, teacher of Nongsa Senior Middle School in Taehongdan County who was also selected as one of the top ten teachers for 2025, has worked at the school for nearly 30 years.

She has so far devoted all her wisdom and passion to education since she volunteered for the school in Taehongdan County far away from Pyongyang, her birthplace, after graduating from a university of education in Pyongyang. Last year she invented and made over ten new teaching aids, including robot, conducive to the intellectual development of students and generalized them in all schools of the county.

Educators are also among the heroes of many heart-warming stories that are woven in the country where virtues and affections pervade like air.

They include Ryang Un Hye, teacher of Jinhung Senior Middle School in Moranbong District, who helped a girl, who had been unable to hear or speak for more than ten years, become able to speak, play the accordion, study to her heart’s content and sing songs in just two years, Yun Jong Hwa, teacher of Hyejang Primary School in Hyesan City who carried a paraplegic schoolgirl on her back to school and helped her cure her disease for years so that the girl could become able to walk, and Pak Sang Dok, lecturer of Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry who brought to his home and took parental care of a girl student, who had finished a middle school for orphans, during her university days. The looks of such educators, who showed parental affection and care for their students, are the true image of DPRK society in which people share joys and sorrows.

There are many other true teachers and patriots, including those of the new generation who volunteered to work at branch schools on islands and schools in frontline and mountainous areas and bring up the future of the country with pure conscience and patriotic devotion, and members of families of educators who devote themselves to education generation after generation.

People hold these excellent educators in respect and affection.
