To rapidly develop the country’s education onto the level of an advanced country is a policy-oriented task the DPRK has put forward as the core for the overall development of socialism.

To this end, radical improvement is being brought about in education in the country. 

Radical improvement in education is, in essence, that in the qualifications of teachers. 

Teachers’ qualifications decide the quality of education and students’ abilities.

Even though there is a good educational system and excellent educational bases have been provided and the educational curricula worked out at a high level, no success can be expected in the development of education if the qualifications of teachers in direct charge of education are poor and if there are not enough teachers. 

It is part of the main content of the radical improvement in education to ensure that all teachers acquire noble spiritual and moral traits and qualifications and abilities as educators so that they can fulfil their responsibility and duty as career revolutionaries and the vanguard of the radical improvement in education.
