Respected Marshal Kim Jong Un received a congratulatory message from the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) on September 9.

On the occasion of the 78th founding anniversary of the DPRK, the Chongryon Central Standing Committee in the message paid the highest tribute to the great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung and the great leader Generalissimo Kim Jong Il, founder and builder of the DPRK and the eternal sun of socialist Korea, and extended the greatest glory and warmest congratulations to respected Marshal Kim Jong Un who is ushering in a golden age of comprehensive prosperity for national rejuvenation.

It said that the sacred course of the development of the DPRK shining with victory and glory is a proud history in which President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il turned the country into a dignified and powerful one of independence and a socialist power centred on the masses of the people with profound ideas and theories, extraordinary leadership ability and noble patriotic devotion.

Thanks to the painstaking efforts, immortal devotion and ardent love for the people of respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, the dignity and prestige of the DPRK associated with the whole lives of the President and the Chairman have reached the highest level that no force dares challenge, and the era of great creation and change in which the centuries-old desire and ideal of the people are realized, an era of the great revolution in which the most distinguished traces are recorded in the history of nation building have been ushered in, it noted.

It expressed the will to unconditionally and thoroughly implement the decisions of the 26th Congress of Chongryon for realizing the work direction and goal of the new period of struggle till the 80th anniversary of its formation set at the important letter sent by the respected Marshal on the occasion of its 70th formation anniversary and thus open up a new phase of the comprehensive development of the movement of Koreans in Japan by consistently holding fast to the defence of the rights and interests of compatriots, the bringing up of the younger generation including national education and the preservation of national identity in the Korean community in Japan and make sure progress in turning Chongryon into a body based on the compatriots-first idea that truly serves the masses of compatriots.

In the message it wished respected Marshal Kim Jong Un good health for the victorious advance and rosy future of the cause of Juche and the patriotic cause of Chongryon, reflecting the boundless loyalty and reverence of all Chongryon officials and other Koreans in Japan.
