The public information office of the External Intelligence Bureau of Russia on August 31 disclosed conspiratorial manoeuvrings of the West geared to derailing the elections of the State Duma.

It noted that Western countries mounted a massive offensive to destabilize the situation in Russia in the run-up to the parliamentary election.

It denounced that the West gave undesirable forces the tasks of organizing provocations in constituencies and spreading the claim that the election, which has not yet been held, is “illegal” and ordered the Ukrainian authorities to intensify subversive and terrorist attacks in Russia.

Meanwhile, the European Union is preparing to issue a statement that it does not recognize the results of the election under the pretext of “flagrant violation in the election preparations and progress” after the election is over.
