Comrade Vladimir Putin, dear friend of the Korean people,

I and all the Korean people express deep thanks to you for your warm congratulations on the occasion of the 78th founding anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, feeling boundless encouragement.

Today the two countries and peoples of the DPRK and Russia are continuously writing a new chapter of the great history of alliance, consolidating the faith and unity and protecting justice and peace together in the face of the vicissitudes of history.

I and the government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea are undoubtedly steadfast in their will to expand and deepen the joint work with the Russian Federation in a comprehensive way, starting from the common understanding of the rosy future of the DPRK-Russia relations based on the tradition of friendship, good neighbourliness and mutual assistance and the ties of strong alliance between the two countries.

Firmly convinced of the victory of the Russian Federation in the present sacred war for defending the security interests of the country and international justice, I promise my invariable support to you, dear friend, and the fraternal Russian people.

I hope that success and glory are always in store for you and the Russian people in the future.
