Russian President Vladimir Putin denounced the West’s shameless deeds as he addressed a BRICS business forum on September 11.

He said that today the world is undergoing a profound structural change and such a change is occurring because new motive forces of development are emerging in place of those countries that led the economic growth in the latter half of the last century.

The West is physically controlling or destroying industrial objects, pipelines and others and even resorting to filthy means to regain the already lost leading status, while attempting to blockade international transport routes and seize ships, he disclosed. 

Saying that the West is threatening the countries defending their national interests with illegal sanctions, he noted that it imposed more than 30 000 sanctions on Russia.

Russia has so far strengthened its national sovereignty and is developing cooperation with reliable and predictable partners at present, he stressed.
