Maria Zakharova, a spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, at a press conference on September 15 warned the West not to give Ukraine military assistance.

Noting that NATO member states are creating the capacity for jointly producing weapons with Ukraine and the bases for producing weapons are deployed not only in the Ukrainian territory but also in Western countries, she said that any places which pose military threats to Russia will be the legitimate targets of the Russian armed forces.

It is pointless for NATO to continue giving military assistance to Ukraine, she said, adding: The Kiev authorities are doomed. The West has squandered an exorbitant amount of money on keeping the Ukrainian war going, thus preventing the bleeding wound in the body of Europe from healing up.

Referring to the European countries’ attempt to bring nuclear weapons near to the border under the pretext of “threat from Russia”, she advised the frantic West Europeans to coolly look round the world and prudently consider Russia's warning.
