The Missile Administration of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea successfully tested a new-type weapon system, which is of great significance in putting its technological improvement onto a higher level, on September 20.

The test did not have any adverse impact on the security of neighbouring countries.

It is an extension of the regular activities of the DPRK Missile Administration and its defence science research institutes aimed at implementing the line of national defence.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, oversaw the test.

Saying that the test was undoubtedly a demonstration of the power of ultra-modern defence technology and a clear upgrading in the modernization of the armed forces, he stressed that it represents the irresistible might.

To acquire such a technology is of weighty significance in the state’s preparedness for war and the long-term development of the armed forces, he said, adding that the enemy will know better what such upgrading means without any explanation in the aspect of military technology. He affirmed that such reality would give the enemy an incurable headache and a very cruel and unavoidable blow.

Today’s success is the priceless fruit brought by a special force of the sci-tech group involved in the development of this important weapon system for a specific purpose and their devoted efforts, he said, expressing thanks to the Missile Administration and its defence science institutes and manufacturing groups.
