Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a reply message from Comrade Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China, on September 21.

The reply message said:

Respected Comrade General Secretary,

Recently you sent a message of sympathy as regards the casualties caused by landslide in Gyirong County, the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. This is a manifestation of the true friendship of the DPRK Party, government and people towards the Chinese Party, government and people. I express heartfelt thanks to you and the Party, government and people of the DPRK.

Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the people in the disaster-stricken area will turn out with a single mind in a united effort to restore without fail the normal production and life as soon as possible.
