The members of the April 15 technical innovation shock brigades across the country have achieved successes in solving problems requiring urgent solution in reality by concentrating efforts.

Those in Pyongyang Municipality developed and introduced a series of technical innovation plans to contribute to implementing the production plans of their units and save much labour, fuel and raw materials. 

Technicians and skilled workers of the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill established a process for producing several kinds of high-speed thread winding cylinders and completed and introduced several technical innovation plans to lengthen the lifespan of looms and boost their productivity.

The mass technical innovation movement greatly helped several units, including the Songyo Knitwear Factory, Pyongyang Automation Appliances Factory and Pyongyang Hosiery Factory, improve the quality of products and normalize their production.

Meanwhile, a national technical innovation competition of the April 15 technical innovation shock brigades in the sector of farm machine production is going on throughout the country for the purpose of contributing to inventing and manufacturing highly efficient farm machines and their parts.

Aimed at positively contributing to raising the operation rate of farm machines and mechanizing farm operations, the national competition has brought together the shock brigades of the production units of tractor parts and farm machines under the vehicle industry bureau, the Agricultural Commission and the provincial rural economy committees.  

The Sunchon Engine Factory upgraded over a dozen kinds of design indexes and designed and manufactured optimized and efficient parts to suit the actual conditions of the country in close contact with several universities and scientific research institutions. And it established a rational testing system which can ensure the machining accuracy of hundreds of kinds of parts.  

The Hamhung Tractor-drawn Farm Machine Factory laid the material and technical foundations for producing parts of nutritive rice-seedling transplanters in a serial way and revitalized production. After greatly improving the performance of tractors by pooling creative wisdom and sharing technologies, the technical group of the factory also achieved successes in improving the environment and boosting the production capacity by applying valuable technical innovations to the production process.

The Chongjin Tractor Parts Factory also employed a highly profitable method of producing tractor parts to decrease the cost and enhance the quality of products.
