Russian Ministry of Education delegation visits Liberation Tower
October 21, 2026The delegation of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation led by Minister Sergey Kravtsov laid a wreath at the Liberation Tower in Pyongyang on October 19.
Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Ri Chang Sik, vice-minister of Education of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Andrey Podelyshev, Russian ambassador to the DPRK.
Guards of honour of the Korean People's Army lined up at the Liberation Tower.
The national anthems of the Russian Federation and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea were played.
A wreath in the name of the minister of Education of the Russian Federation was laid at the Liberation Tower amid the playing of the wreath-laying music.
The participants paid silent tribute to the fallen martyrs of the Soviet Army before going round the tower.
