The national exhibition of successes in informatization-2026 opened with due ceremony at the Sci-Tech Complex in Pyongyang on October 19.

On display at the exhibition in the form of products, models and movable exhibits are more than 1 400 pieces of information dealing with successes in informatization and latest IT products presented by more than 450 units in Pyongyang and local areas which have taken the lead in the drive to modernize and informatize the national economy.

During the exhibition, there will be an AI products contest, robot contest, programming contest, contest among the units producing IT products including digital TVs and smart phones, sci-tech presentation and lectures on the developing trend of IT, AI industry and robot industry in the world.

Present at the opening ceremony were Kim Sung Du, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Jon Sung Guk, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials concerned and officials and working people of the exhibiting units.

Ju Yong Il, minister of Information Industry, made an opening address.

At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the exhibition venue.
