Autumn aesthetic symposium held by land and environment protection field
October 23, 2026The autumn aesthetic symposium in the field of land and environment protection-2026 took place at the Sci-Tech Complex in Pyongyang on October 21.
It was attended by officials and scientists from relevant sectors including the land and environment protection, urban management, design, industrial design and science and education.
Screened at the symposium on the theme of "Era of comprehensive socialist development and roadscape" was a video dealing with the achievements made in sprucing up roads.
Then speeches were made by Han Yong Guk, deputy director of the Pyongyang Road Design Institute under the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, Jon Sung Il, director of the Pyongyang Municipal Road Design Institute under the Pyongyang Municipal Land and Environmental Protection Management Bureau, and others.
They explained the principled requirements to be met in improving the quality of road paving and the ways for ensuring the safety and convenience of traffic and the modernity and cultural refinement of roads and introducing advanced technology into the design, construction and repair of roads.
