CSTO’s joint chief of staff: Peacekeeping role of the collective security treaty organization grows
October 25, 2026The joint chief of staff of the collective security treaty organization referred to the peacekeeping role of the organization in the closing ceremony of the commanding staff exercise “Strong Friendship-2026” and the special exercise “Barrier-2026” on October 16.
The peacekeeping role of the collective security treaty organization is further increasing in relation to the unstable situation of the neighbouring regions, he said, adding that the peacekeeping activities are one of directions of its priorities in the collective security field.
Saying that in the present situation the peacekeeping activities constitute an important means to cope with the moves of structure-destroying forces which use economic situations and contradictions between states, nations and religions to attain their purposes, he asserted that to have such effective means is the index all international organizations in the security field should have.
