Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian censured the US which poses as the “champion of human rights”, in an event on October 29.

Referring to the fact that nearly 170 children were killed at a school in Iran early this year due to the US forces’ bombing, he expressed his indignation by querying, “Were the children terrorists?”

Although it styles itself the “human rights champion”, the US is evading its responsibility related to the innocent victims, he said, adding that such a country is discussing the human rights issues and shedding “crocodile tears”.

A considerable sum of money is being disbursed from the US budget for military spending for aggression, plunder and tyranny, but the Americans are still behaving as if they are “human rights champion”, he decried.
