The national exhibition of successes in informatization-2026 took place at the Sci-Tech Complex last October.

On display at the exhibition held on the theme of “A new era of comprehensive development of socialism and informatization” were more than 1 400 pieces of achievements in informatization presented by over 450 units from across the country and high-tech IT products in the form of real objects, models and moving exhibits. 

Visitors were deeply impressed by the achievements conducive to informatizing state business and economic management and making information communication high-speed and high-capacity and the data on informatization successes in making production and business management intelligent and digitized, including the intelligent integrated production systems of the Samgwang Livestock Farm and the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm.

Attractive were also a national integrated power control system which makes it possible to maximize power production and make effective use of the produced electricity, an energy management system capable of optimizing power and water control at factories and enterprises, a family electric power supply contract system capable of keeping hundreds of thousands of kWh of electricity in reserve throughout the country, industrial information devices and a programmable logic controller.

An artificial intelligence technology-based intelligent auxiliary diagnosis system, a coding support system, virtual dressing programs, an intelligent guide robot and a human form robot enabled people to visualize the future of ever-developing AI technology.

Among the successes leading the efforts to put education on an advanced and scientific footing there was a unified and comprehensive national educational information system covering national education management, teaching resources service and the informatization at educational units. A children’s intelligence development program which develops the logical thinking ability of preschoolers to consolidate their foundations for computer and robot education and a computer study support program that improves students’ cognitive and study abilities and program writing and application abilities sparked the curiosity of visitors.

Different provinces exhibited many achievements whereby they can put regional informatization on a new stage of development by relying on their own IT talents.

Eye-catching were the AI technology product, robot and programming contests and a contest of IT goods production units. The AI technology product contest was conducted in the way of classifying the generative AI technology, traditional AI technology and the products based on the technologies in keeping with their characteristics and judging the technical specifications of AI models, the effectiveness of intelligence and the introduction of AI.

The contests further raised the zeal among the participants for promoting the development of the country’s AI technology, robot technology and software technology and for quality improvement competition for producing quality IT products favoured by the people.

During the exhibition there were a sci-tech presentation on valuable IT research findings and the relevant products and a lecture on the global development trend of core IT, AI industry and robot industry.

“The exhibition made a great contribution to speeding up the overall development of socialism by making progress in the information industry as it ensured the wide introduction, exchange and dissemination of IT successes and experience gained in different sectors of the national economy this year,” said Kim Il Gyong, section chief of the Ministry of Information Industry.
