Brisk efforts directed to improving life of regional people
March 29, 2026In different parts of the DPRK, efforts are being made to improve the quality of life for regional people true to the new regional development policy of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
In South Hamgyong Province, the socialist emulation between foodstuff factories is gaining momentum with the main emphasis put on producing tasty soybean sauce and paste which can substantially contribute to people’s dietary life.
Sinpho City, where modern regional-industry factories have newly been built, carefully organizes the work for supplying enough materials to the county foodstuff factory after making a detailed survey of the number of households in the city and their demand for condiments, while putting efforts to making the workers who produce the sauce and paste correctly understand the technical problems arising in improving the quality of wheat paste.
In particular, it is raising the creative zeal of producers and generalizing good experience, while actively working to catch up with the advanced units in the quality of wheat paste.
Hamju and Kumya counties are intensifying technical study to make the employees of foodstuff factories thoroughly keep the requirements of technical manuals and master the technical rules and standard regulations of operation.
While arousing the zeal for emulation among foodstuff factories, the province sees to it that officials lend an ear to the feedback from residents on the products of their units so as to continuously heat up the employees’ enthusiasm for production.
The Kim Hyong Jik County Foodstuff Factory is putting spurs to the production of local specialities.
The factory has developed and produced over ten kinds of new products since inauguration by pushing ahead with the making of various products from edible herbs like anise and bracken to suit the characteristics of the mountainous county.
Officials and employees of the Songchon County Daily Necessities Factory are constantly improving their level of technology and skills in order to turn out more high-quality daily necessities.
The factory set a goal to raise the average qualifications of technology and skills of all employees this year.
Many of them have enrolled in the study-while-you-work system and are acquiring sci-tech knowledge needed for improving the quality of products, expanding production capacity and developing new products.
