A happy event of moving into new houses has taken place at rural villages in Sinchon and Pongchon counties of South Hwanghae Province.

The modern farmhouses, built in various and distinctive styles at the Pogu Farm in Sinchon County and the Soksa Farm in Pongchon County to go well with the natural environment of the relevant areas and provide every convenience for the living of the agricultural workers, give a glimpse of the true features of the Korean-style socialist system.

Present at the ceremonies of moving into new houses held on the spot were officials of the Party and power organs in the province and counties, builders and agricultural workers who would move into the new houses.

Congratulatory speeches were made and the licences for the use of houses were handed over to be followed by speeches at the ceremonies.

Colourful art performances were given as cheerful peasant music was played and dance parties were held in the new villages wrapped in a festive mood.

Officials visited the families of the farmers who received new houses to congratulate them.

Happy singing and laughter resounded in the villages presenting a new sight of civilization.
