More than 40 years have passed since the inauguration of the hospital specializing in delivery assistance, treatment of women’s diseases and various special medical services for women.
During the period, many women have given birth to their babies and recovered their health under best medical care.
That is why Korean women call the hospital their parents’ home and palace for babies.

The employees of the hospital are devoted to delivery assistance and treatment of patients in order to make them enjoy every state medical benefit intact.
In particular, expectant mothers of triplets and quadruplets are brought to the hospital no matter where they live and put under the special health care of doctors in charge until they leave the hospital after childbirth.
Triplets grow in incubators after birth before leaving the hospital, and the period is 100 days in general.
In the period, each child is looked after by a doctor and three nurses.
According to department chief Ji Mi Gyong, the 538th triplets were born recently.
During their stay, all the pregnant women and nursing mothers are provided free by the state with honey and other nutritious foods good for recovery and even supplies for babies.

Inaugurated in November 2012, it is furnished with top-rate medical facilities including a multi-purpose X-ray machine and latest CT monopolized by a few developed countries. Large numbers of women from across the country received treatment and recovered their health at the institute.
