DPRK people significantly celebrate April holiday

All the people and service personnel across the DPRK significantly celebrated the 112th birthday of President Kim Il Sung.

Officials, working people, service personnel, youth and schoolchildren visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il are preserved in their lifetime appearance, and the statues of the peerlessly great men across the country to pay homage to them.

At the President's birthplace at Mangyongdae, the people keenly felt once again the great personality traits of the President and his family members who had inherited the spirit of patriotism and love for the nation and people generation after generation.

Students of revolutionary schools, pupils of primary schools and other children across the country received gifts associated with benevolent love of the Workers' Party of Korea on the occasion of the spring holiday of April.

The venues of photo exhibitions in provinces (municipalities) were filled with humble reverence for the peerlessly great man.

National flags of the DPRK were hoisted and visual aids were displayed at major places in Pyongyang, provincial capitals, seats of cities and counties, institutions, enterprises, factories and farms to rev up the festive atmosphere.

Colourful art performances were given in Pyongyang and the provinces.

A women's volleyball game between the Pyongyang and Kigwancha teams was held at Pyongyang Indoor Stadium and sports and amusement games were held in different parts of the country.

Working people, youth and schoolchildren enjoyed themselves at the Central Zoo, the Natural History Museum, the People's Open-air Ice Rink and other recreation grounds.

Okryu and Chongnyu restaurants in Pyongyang, Sinhung Restaurant in Hamhung and other public catering establishments across the country served special holiday dishes to delight the people.
