Over 22 000 families become such models at farms across the country

Model families of socialist cultured way of life are increasing in the DPRK as it has entered a new era in which not only people but also mountains and streams change beyond recognition through the implementation of the Workers’ Party of Korea’s grand programme for the rural revolution.

It isn’t a day or two since the climate of trying to be honoured with the title of model family of socialist cultured way of life began to prevail in the country.

The country built dwelling houses and provided them to the people gratis and put forward as model families of socialist cultured way of life those who set an example in managing the houses assiduously.

So the signs for such families hanging above their doors along with nameplates are their pride and are just as good as appreciation of their cultured way of life and their assiduous way of work.

Several neighbourhood units of Jangchon-ri in Sadong District, Pyongyang, were the first to become model neighbourhood units of socialist cultured way of life.

Today similar families have increased in the countryside as there have mushroomed modern houses on all farms in the new era of rural development.

This helps agricultural workers raise their cultural level and change their consciousness, inspiring them to keep cleaner and tidier their houses built and allotted to them by the state and change their environs for the better.

This year alone, over 22 000 families have become model families of socialist cultured way of life in rural areas across the country.
